Black Bear Cubs is a museum quality fine art print, made from an original watercolor painting by wildlife artist, Glen Loates.
Black Bear Cubs are generally born in January or February. They are tiny, weighing only about 10 - 14 ounces. At birth, the Bear Cubs are blind and hairless, and totally helpless. Usually, two or three Cubs are born, although as many as five have been recorded. By early Spring, when the mother leaves her den, the Black Bear Cubs weigh about four to eight pounds and are full of energy and ready to explore their world.
